EDC Rotation

I currently have one rotation. I'm waiting on a Phillip Patton bowie before I'll have another rotation.

A rotation consists of a fixed blade fighter, wave enabled locking folder, slipjoint, and watch.

Thanks Lapedog:thumbsup: And I thought I wasn't going to learn anything today Lol. Now can anyone suggest an Inexpensive knife model with Ti scales? Oh and yes the SOG is all steel.

Ontario has some fairly inexpensive Titanium framelocks. You could also see what Kizer’s knives. Its pretty hard to find titanium knives for super cheap. Some of the cheapest are probably around 100$.

Here’s s kind of guide on anoding ti with electricity.

If we ever meet, I will probably be carrying one of these

Thanks so much for that link Lapedog. I'm going to do some more homework and make a couple of purchases and give it another go and post some pic's of the results

Ya, Lapedog taught me how to ano titanium. The edc Starbenza got some deep bronze ano on the millit clip...a bronze bead and paracord...the gold CRK lanyard pin...

And the wilson bead that came on the original lanyard was moded to the right tolerances to be used as the standoff bead, and bronzed as well.

We are talking about EDC's so i figured it was ok to post this.
Once you get the hang of anodizing, its pretty fun.

I think that wilson combat bead on the standoff is so cool.

What are the odds it would fit perfectly without rattling?

Im assuming you are talking about the WC bead. Mine was too wide...i could fit it in, but it threw the action off a bit. So i shaved it down a one thou, and it fit perfectly.

Oh! I may have misunderstood your question, which also may have been rhetorical. Lol. The wilson lanyard bead is the same as a standoff in regards to the center hole and diameter. Its just the width that needed some attention. So with regards to the center hole...ya, it doesnt rattle because its the same size as original standoff.

I have some really nice higher end knives, but these see the pocket time.
If you could see them, you'd get it. They get pretty consistent use and are all banged up. The beatability, functionality, and ease of sharpening in these three is perfect for me. The quality is good enough for me to a count on and affordable enough for me to not stress over if I lose or damage one.

The only thing I left out is my Victorinox Spirit which is an everyday item. I typically carry 3-4 folders; these are my current rotation group. I also carry either the ESEE 3 or TOPS CUT 4.0 daily. When out on my advisory missions (4-5 days a week), I have a couple sharps on the body armor...

These are the ones I find myself carrying, these days:

Most often carried is the Victorinox Manager, as it gets carried even when I'm not in the mood to carry anything. The toothpick I've swapped in for the tweezers gets used several times per day, the scissors several times per week.

I got back into knives (as opposed to SAKs) because the SAK blades just dull too easily. One thick zip tie and the edge at the tip is done. I've cut so many zip ties with the poor little scissors, they're useless on threads any more. (and they're damned hard to sharpen properly, with such a tiny bevel!)

Not shown is my Leatherman Charge Al, which lives in my bag with the set of accessory bits. It doesn't get used often, but when it does, it's not something that can be done with a mere knife. Knives are more fun to carry, but multi-tools are loads more useful.

The A.G. Russell Medium Gents Folding Hunter is perfect for office carry, to supplement the Manager. It gets food duty pretty often.

The Benchmade Osborne and Delica are mostly getting weekend carry, these days. They're just not as comfy on the pocket as the A.G. and a bit too tactical-looking for the office.

The Dragonfly 2 is starting to replace the Delica as a frequent EDC.

I have about 75 folders. Out of all of them I carry a MINI Emerson CQC-7 w/tanto blade and a Emerson Mini A-100 PO Boy custom the most.It is one of these tow knees. with the Mini CQC-& the most. I have all these other high end knives like CRK , Strider, Hinderers, old times traditional folding knives, customs, high end production, flippers, OTF's, you name it. But those 2 Emersons I carry daily around the house and in my immediate area I the most. Why? Because I enjoy using them! They are small and the CQC-7 flips out with ease. When I travel abroad I use larger self defense tactical knives. I usually go for much bigger longer blades when I go to europe or Brazil. I rarely carry my BG-43 Large regular sebenzas or multiple spydercos anymore because of they value, Benchmades and such get played with and ut down. They are all great knives. But for some reason in place where I don't expect to have to defend my life and just tinker around to cut things . I carry the 2 small emersons.. Go figure? It makes no sense. I just like em, that's all.
