EDC rotation

For those of us with a collection of edc knives, how often do you rotate between knives, how many are in your rotation and why do you choose one over another on any particular day
For me a knife rides in my pocket 2 to 3 days and even though i own a lot, I seem to rotate mostly around 10 t0 15 of them. What I choose for the day is pretty random unless there is a specific task I expect to due that day, some days I think I will need a heavier use knife, and choose something that fits that description. When ever I go out camping or offroad I tend to bring something less expensive in case I lose it in the wild.

I rotate among a few I especially like. My other knives are for fondling while watching TV..

I carry a ESEE 3 stainless IWB at 8 o’clock in the factory sheath. A second ESEE 3 that I’ve been carrying for 12 years rides at 12:30 horizontal in a Armatus sheath. At home Izula or Izula 2 ride in similar places.

I change my edc daily!!! I like to use all my knives!!! However looking back thru previous posts I guess I tend to grab the same knives together without even realizing it..... I don't really even put much thought into it..
I grab whatever is catching my eye each morning!!!

I tend to favor the stainless steel knives in my collection, during the heat of summer, and my carbon steel knives the rest of the year.
Other than that, selection is pretty random for me.

The Curtiss has been main carry 90% of the past year daily. The Les George has taken up pocket space las month or so. They both cut really well. I’ve always got a small fixed blade in a bag for whatever..

I was just going thru a few of the fixed blades I carry, and happened to snap a pic. As far as folders, there’s a couple handfuls I rotate through, mostly traditional Buck and GEC. The only few modern knives I carry often anymore are a Lg 21 and a GB2, and occasionally a Bugout but not often anymore.

I generally carry a different folder every day and I own 36 folders. Sometimes I repeat a knife before “rotating” through all 36 blades. I just carry what I feel like that day. I use all 36 knives. No safe queens for me.

I usually carry two, a slip joint and either a Spyderco PM2 or ZT 0566. My slip joints carried the most are a GEC 44, GEC 71, or Case Sodbuster Jr. Occasionally I’ll switch it up with an Old Timer (USA made) or TC Barlow.

I'll see someone using a Buck 110 on TV and I'll start carrying mine. Or it'll be hot and I'll just be in shorts and wife beater with a Dragon fly. Maybe I'm feeling exotic and sexy, then a OTF. Depends on how I feel.

I choose what I carry depending on the day, activity, or how I feel. My EDC rotation has a regular cast and recurring characters. New knives get added. Some stay and some fade away.

I recommend the EDC picture thread. You can see what other people are carrying. You'll see some cool stuff. You can also have fun participating. It might sound silly but themes like Micarta Monday, Titanium Tuesday, Wooden Wednesday, etc. can be great excuses to carry different knives and keep your rotation fresh.

I have one in the rotation. Makes life's decission simpler . I have been carrying just the one for a couple years now, yet still does not stop me from looking and occassionally buying.

Sup Knife Peeps...Like many others, I carry based on what catches my eye on a particular day. Sometimes, like today, I get excessive and carry two larger folders (ZT 0562ti & Benchmade Grip)...Mostly, I carry a large primary folder and a sub 3 inch back up folder in my change pocket. Summers also call for the occasional fixed blade (Hogue EX-F01 lately)

I have about 65 knives in my collection, about 20 get used regularly...20-30 get flicked while I sit at the computer...I can't bring myself to use the rest.

Carry one of these 7 each day of the week (right to left; Mon thru Sun), but sometimes sub in the AD15.

Not owning all that many knives, I just rotate the ones I have--largely on whim. I will say that I carry lighter knives in the summer (don't need an AD-10 tugging at my shorts).
