I have a CD stand that I keep my EDCs on, I have to pass it to get out of the house so I have a hard time leaving the house without a knife.
Here's a pic of their little box home.

I was wandering were you guys keep your EDCs at?

Also a Pic of what a years worth of EDCs look like.

Nice collection! My EDC storage is a dedicated dresser drawer. Every morning I open it, put on my watch, and then go though the struggle of trying to decide what to take for the day.

I know what your talking about, I have to decide if I'm going to be a Case man or a GEC guy every morning, and as of late I'm a Case man.

I got a box much like yours but plastic.

And a leek clipped to the back pocket.

I have two wooden bowls in the top drawer of my "dresser" - they hold everything I'm going to put in my pockets for the day plus my EDCs - usually 4 to 5 knives - that I pick one from (often just on the basis of which one is sharpest at the moment).

This box was $75 at a local antique mall but I really liked it so it came home with me. Lined with pool table felt to keep the noise down after my wife's already asleep and foam in the drawer for the knives not in use. I'll probably take that out and just use more green felt though. Knife sharpeners in the back of the drawer behind the foam.

I have a good friend who lives close by that used to own Tomway. Tomway made boxes out of cocobolo. Like Johnny, I pass by this when I leave.

He gave me this a while back. I keep a few edc's in there and usually pick one each morning out of here or another box that holds my Ken Coats, an Imperial (thank you Glennbad ;)) and case stockman, a Winchester black box moose, a few sak's and a sodbuster.

In sticking with the old-school style for my EDCs I keep them in an old Montecristo cigar box. Both my dad and my gramps always kept their wallets, keys, and pocket knives in cigar boxes on top of their dressers so I'm just following suit.

I pass by this when I leave.

If I had to pass this when I left, I would be late for everything.:D

I keep mine in a cabinet drawer. I normally carry one for a while and just set it on the dresser with my wallet, keys, etc. When I do decide to switch it up, it usually occurs the night before. I'm not much of a morning person and it takes all my effort just to get going. The last thing I need is to try to pick out a knife before heading out the door.

Didn't want to start a new thread but I had to move my EDC tray yesterday (my 24 year old younger brother had people coming over last night) and I decided to snap off a quick pick. This isn't all of my traditionals but they're the ones I usually reach for when leaving the house (aside from a few new recent purchases that my pocket has been hoarding).

For the most part I keep my EDC knives in the following drawers/box.

I keep almost all of my Case knives in the 6-pullout drawers on the left of the picture as you look at it.

NOTE: The dog pictured on my monitor is our dog Coco we got X-mas day 2010. She is a shelter dog and was suppose to weigh 30 pounds. She is now 9-months old and weighs 90 pounds. Evidently she took after her German Shepard side of the mix. She is "on topic" because she took a Vic Cadet off my desk and swallowed it. The vet took an x-ray and it isn't in her anymore so I guess you could say, one of my EDCs is stored somewhere on our property.

I also keep some of my GECs, older Imperials, Queens, Schrades, and other knives in a Plano fishing tackle box. You can see it in the paper basket in the first picture.

All my other knives I keep in metal, tool boxes out in my shop along side by roll-away tool boxes.

I line all my storage boxes with the synthetic, rubber mat, material made for tool boxes. It never causes discoloragion of knife scales and does not hold moisture so as to cause rust. You can see it in the Plano box.

Congrats you guys ;)
That are real nice collections. I only have a drawer for the knives, but that´s ok. And the chaos in there is very organized :p

Kind regards
Andi

I have a box that my Nautica wallet came in, so I keep my EDC's in it. It's really small tho, so I'm looking for something better. Like a cigar box or something.

I have a rather large collection, and I stumbled upon this the other day.
I picked this 6 drawer cabinet up at Fred's for $25, real wood, light weight but not balsa wood.....15.5"x13.5" x 24"H without the wheels....drawer side depth is a ream of paper 2.25"

I have most all of my pocket knives in a wall cabinet in my garage above my workbench. They are there because they are not an edc.
The few that I edc usaully can be found on the workbench, the kneewall in the kitchen, the dresser or the bathroom sink. Invariably I wind up at all these places when I get home or when I leave. The odd thing is that I can never find my glasses.

If they are EDC , shouldnt they be stored in your pocket ? ;)

Seriously though , nice collection guys. The ones I am not using that day get piled up on the dresser.

i keep all of my knives (at least the one that are worth anything) are stored oak cabinet that my grandfather made. its got four shelves with glass doors.

i keep most of my modern folder on the top, the traditionals below the top ( its getting crowded in there:o ) the small fixed blades below the slippies (the big ones are in the closet) and the boxes are on the bottom.

i have allot of my grandfathers knives so i thought it would be neat to keep them in something he made.

Some of you guys are way too organized for me. Y'all have some great collections, though, and I wish I did have some of your organization.

I've started keeping mine in the drawer of my nightstand, ... or the bowl on top of the nightstand, ...or in boxes laid out on the floor by my side of the bed, ...or in boxes laid out on the floor in the corner of my bedroom, ... or "YOU GET THE PICTURE".

Also, I don't have too many knives that aren't possible EDC's. I usually have a nice big folding knife clipped inside one pocket - Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, Buck, Gerber, SOG, CRK and a small non-descript, well-used, but sharp dress knife - usually a German, Case or other thin ones - in the other pants pocket. (I keep the small one so I don't scare some people in my office if I pull it out.)

Thanks for sharing your pics. Roger

Oh, man, my Mother in Law just got me the coolest knife cases (not really made for knives)...they're from the pottery barn (she works there) and look like old school card catalogs. I'll get some pics up eventually.

Great collections guys and all good ideas for storing, I currently keep them all over, in draws, my favs are on my desk on a piece of suede leather...but my wife is making me get organized and lock em up!
