What about the Buck Vantage Pro? Seems to be everything you're looking for. S30V isn't the highest end steel, but it's tougher than 420HC and Buck does some of the best heat treating of it. If I'm not mistaken, it's basically the same knife you have and like now, with a higher end and tougher steel... Which was what you wanted. Plus you can get it around $60.
