I like the minimalist set-up!

My belief is that the more compact, more easily to carry, the more a person will have it with them. Yours is a fine example for ease of carry.

I would like to ask, and no offense or criticism is meant by this:

Do you trust the Fero-rod holder? It's secure enough that it can't come out accidentally?

I have seen this type of loop holder several other times and wondered, what if you fell, or accidentally drpped the sheath/knife/fero rod set-up?

Would everything be secure and held in place?

Don't get me wrong, I really do like the set-up, and the knife looks like a good all-rounder.

The fero-rod comes with a metal scratcher which is secured on the back side of the pouch. So even in the unlike even the the rod becomes loose, it will still not be lost.

Cool-- never saw a sheath with a walnut shift knob :D

I agree-- the easier it is to haul the gear, the better the chance it will be htere when it is needed. Basic kits that are always in your pocket, pack, etc become habit-- you feel naked without them.

I love the idea of knife-based mini kits.

Now if you can find a way to include a little tinder and maybe a button compass. . .;)
(and before you know it, you've reinvented the Winnebego!)

Details on the knife please.

Over all length: 7.34 inches

Full tang with small pommel, handle is made from camel bone.

Where can I get one?

Excellent looking package. Another reason I like mid-sized knives as you can build a decent package that isn't to big or bulky. Quite often I'll carry my Bark River Northstar with ferro rod on the sheath. For duty and most outings, I'll have my Leatherman with it's sheath package:

What are these two black items next to the Leatherman?

One is a military ferro rod (it has a blue plastic coving) and the other is a Peak 1AAA LED (recently replaced with the ARC LED light).
