The ones you actually carry and use. These may not be TACTICALS but they are just straight up tactical knives FOR ME when it comes down to it. The fanciest one by Don has had by far the most use and cuts like a pro.

Right now I rotate three knives. The Don Hanson is my primary everything knife that I usually have. When taking late night walks or bike rides, I like to have something a little bigger like the Crawrord combat knife. Chuck Gedraitis made this nice fighting folder which has been keeping the Hanson some company.
MOST IMPORTANTLY--- POST YOURS!!!

For fixed

This knife has been in my car or stuck thru my belt since I received it

When this knife came I just fell in love with its balance and the total sheath package

I'm always a bit surprised and bashful when these threads pop up at how little play they get, but here goes:

I don't believe in EDC. I like a full rotation and usually carry two at a time, because I like to.

The bottom two DHIIIs get in at least a couple times a week each, sometimes together when I'm feeling frisky.

And this goes out to STeven, who doesn't like high carbon on a custom slip joint :)

These dr.t's see a lot of use, or at least a lot of carry :)

Edit: it strikes me that I may have misconstrued Jon's post, focusing on the cool EDC instead of the tacti-.
Ill delete the offending photos if anyone's upset about it.

Ken Erickson 3.5 inch shadow trapper. Black and Blue g10 with a slightly recurved ats-34 blade

Nick Wheeler pocket utility in 1084 with some nice texture. 6'' overall

Keep em rolling. I would love to see some signs of wear/use on these customs. Not photos of them being used, just photos of how they look as users!

Hello!

These are the custom knives that are part of my EDC routine, which means that they are carried on a regular basis (alongside a plethora of production knives). I do carry almost every knife in my collection from tume to time, but these are the "users". Mostly old stuff, but also some new additions:

Very good thread Jon!

Good to see you and Seth putting the DHIIIs' to work!

Here's my 'Tacticals' I mean EDCs' ;)

I love user threads! I don't have the budget to be able to collect so if i buy it, I'm using it. As far as customs its been these two:

My one-off Leu Bluephin is my go-to folder and its excelled at everything I've thrown at it. I just resharpened it for this first time (just stropped up until now) and I was able to get it *almost as sharp as it came from Po. =)

The Josh Mason kwaiken is a fantastic little fixed blade and is absolutely a joy to carry and use. I have a review on it in the reviews and testing section if anyone is interested. Its 1095 so its developed quite the patina that was more impressive before the portion of it on the zero bevel was sharpened away.

This one is almost always with me:

Excuse the silly sheath, it was an inside joke as Jerry calls this model "Le Duck". Very easy to carry and potentially tactical (in more skilled hands than mine).

Great thread Jon

Some really good stuff here and I am thrilled to see some of you jump aboard. I believe that as collectors first, we should be using and experiencing such knives or it really is nothing more then art. But we all know that the amazing craftsmanship that goes into some of these pieces are just unbeatable. My Hanson for example. It cost more then the others but has been saving me in pretty bad situations a huge amount of times recently. Today it out cut all my other knives. those others are great but Don must just push the limits of funtional workmanship. All the edges and angles were perfect. It had been cutting those very heavy plastic wrappers multiple times a day, cut a large branch and Cut part of the bumper off of my car. And it still shaves my arm no problem. It is also the most secure of all my knives in terms of durability, action and things rubbing how they shouldn't as all liner locks eventually get messed up over time and need tune ups.

Keep the photos coming. If you carry knives why not show?

I bet alot of folks in the custom world only carry productions. Well, POST THOSE TOO!!! =)

Seth, You already know I love your hanson bone collector. If I am not mistaking I gave the design idea to don for that model and he made mine as a custom order and it was different from his other folders. I also got the second one he made, and ever since has continued the design and made it available to everyone.

Here's my EDC.

It's a custom slipjoint folder loosely inspired by the "Zulu" pattern, made by Martin Annegarn, a fantastic Dutch folder-maker. I have a couple of "dressed up" ones of this model as well, but this one was specially designed to be my EDC, so no "beautiful" materials on this one. Plain & simple ATS34 steel, green micarta handle slabs. The (non) locking mechanism is an "improvement" on the Terzuola Ball-grip system used on the Spyderco C131.

This perfect little folder has been living in my pocket since I got it!

Together with my other most important tool, my notebook! (Random Access Memory! :D )

Very comfortable to hold:

My "Sunday family dinner" lighter option is a beautiful slipjoint made by Todd Davison:

And if I'm really feeling "tacticool", this Terzuola Century Starfighter is just the ticket! It rides in a belt-pouch made by Martin Swinkels:

Kind regards,
