Hello!

Jonathan, I agree with Don, EDC threads are always fun! Thank you for starting this one!

The custom knives shown above are my regular custom companions.

Other than that, I always have at least one SAK on/with me somewhere (mostly Vic Alox Pioneers, Solos, Spartans, Swissbianco Carvers, Mini Champs etc; a classic on my keys...).

Additionally, this is permanently in my Maxpedition bag (phone, player have been replaced since), a Fällkniven Prk, Leatherman with 154cm blade and an old Sog tool.

So, whenever my Maxpedition bag is with me, these knives/tools are as well.

Other bags are permanently loaded with small Sogs, Burkes, Ohtas,:

Well, Ohta should have been amongst the customs... Then there is a Daniel Fairly Ti Backpacker constantly residing in my car:

Of all my (many) productions/non customs, this simple Kellam Wolverine Spt sees the most use these days:

Some really good stuff here and I am thrilled to see some of you jump aboard. I believe that as collectors first, we should be using and experiencing such knives or it really is nothing more then art. But we all know that the amazing craftsmanship that goes into some of these pieces are just unbeatable. My Hanson for example. It cost more then the others but has been saving me in pretty bad situations a huge amount of times recently. Today it out cut all my other knives. those others are great but Don must just push the limits of funtional workmanship. All the edges and angles were perfect. It had been cutting those very heavy plastic wrappers multiple times a day, cut a large branch and Cut part of the bumper off of my car. And it still shaves my arm no problem. It is also the most secure of all my knives in terms of durability, action and things rubbing how they shouldn't as all liner locks eventually get messed up over time and need tune ups.

Keep the photos coming. If you carry knives why not show?

I bet alot of folks in the custom world only carry productions. Well, POST THOSE TOO!!! =)

Seth, You already know I love your hanson bone collector. If I am not mistaking I gave the design idea to don for that model and he made mine as a custom order and it was different from his other folders. I also got the second one he made, and ever since has continued the design and made it available to everyone.

One of these two is always in my pocket: Chris Reeve Large Regular Sebenza and a Tommy Gann large slip joint.

I carry a mix of customs and productions. This is my main production EDC: Lionsteel SR-1D

Here's my current rotation...I've come to the realization there is no 'perfect knife', however there can be a favorite rotation.

I like both titanium and mammoth ivory, damascus and new 'super steels', fancy and understated. Don't know if any of these are 'tactical' due to the fact I never want to be in that situation of sharing bodily fluids. :barf:

Though it doesn't show all of these are damascus except one...

These are usually in rotation:

I like the shot of the folder in a chicken. Those JWS folders feel so good too!

Michael, nice knives. The advisor really stands out to me.

I have only had it for three days, and it have just been used to cut boxes and a few pieces of fresh ham. This is my first custom and it is a sorta tactical. It has come into the rotation for daily carry, and will more than likely stay that way for a long time. I will see how it holds up to cutting cable and drywall.

Michael

What is the second one from right bottom pic ?

Hello!

This one was with me today (next to a baby doctor's knife) - a one of a kind custom by Farid Mehr in CPM REX 121:

Michael

What is the second one from right bottom pic ?

Joe, it's by Thita Knives/Suchat Jangtanong...I sent the Eggerling steel (different patterns for the blade and bolsters) to Thailand and got this back. Really smooth assisted (cam) opening with a great pop, super sharp and thin blade. Black lip pearl, nice filework on the back. Incredible work.

Michael I meant second from bottom left :)

Sorry

Stan Wilson indeed...stainless damascus for everyday use and it cuts like a laser...*and* it's a D/A auto (invisible button in the front bolster; even the damascus matches)

Helluva knife, one of the very best in my collection...
