EDC under 3"

How about a Buck Alpha Dorato in 154cm? I have this and carry it often. No clip but it comes with a 2.5" blade with strong lockup.

If you are OK with 3" blades - I'd recommend the Spyderco Rookie or Caly3. I have a Rookie in my pocket with a 2.9" blade, shortened with the belt sander. The Caly3 is a stronger knife, but the Rookie comes with a 3" blade and is very thin. The Rookie handle is only 3.75" long. Both are lockbacks.
If you want a little smaller blade, I can recommend the Mcusta Take (I have one) or their gentlemen knife. Both are very attractive and have 2.75" blades and 3.75" handles. The handle of the Take is a shade shorter.

I find that a little hard to believe... Un noticed?? please what is the weight on this thing??? appears rather heavy...

2.2 oz....

And did we really make it until page 2 before somebody recommended a Sebenza to somebody who obviously isn't looking to spend $400 on a blade? I am impressed

I was reading the thread from beginning to end just waiting for the small sebenza to be recommended. The mnandi is also a great sub 3 inch EDC, but also spendy. How about the Spyderco Leafstorm? It is a great EDC that I carried for awhile, then sold it. I sure do miss it sometimes!

My favorite little knife, is a Pro-tech Runt. Not my all time favorite, but for some reason, it seems the most useful.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

I really like EDC'ing fixed blades, but not everyone does. I carry an Izula every day.

Let's see if my wife can sell you on it...

Dangit jgon. You beat me to it. If you're not opposed to fixed blades go with the ESEE Izula. Or wait 6 weeks for the Izula-II to come out. Same blade length (2.88in) with a longer handle.

If you want a folder. get a Spyderco Delica.

I am going to have to buy an Izula II when it comes out. Jake, did they have any pricing information on that yet or is it TBD?

I never leave the house without a fixed blade. My folders may or may not come with, but a fixed blade is a must, and my fixed blade of choice right now is the Izula. I have a nice custom neck knife as well, but my very inexpensive and simple Izula is the one I reach for the most.

Delica
Mini Griptilian
Kershaw Ener-G(the cheapest)

if you really want to spend
Small Sebenza or Mnandi

Great info. I ended up going with a Kreshaw Leek only because I couldn't find a Delica locally. I like the Delica FFG in blue. Will there be more of these available?
