EDC under 3in

I just had to buy a blade that was 3" inches or less for work. I went with a spyderco blue sprint persistence. I saw someone already posted this, but just thought i'd add that I agree it is a great little knife. very cheap too.

Another Michigander here, and it is perfectly legal to carry dang near any knife you want as long as you don't have "unlawful intentions". Essentially the point of the law is to be able to slap an additional charge on someone who committed a crime with a medium sized or larger knife.
I already explained this earlier in the thread. (Though Ithaca said it better.)
There's no reason to limit yourself to a blade length of 3" or less.

Check out the Benchmade 707 Sequel.

707 has been on my list for a while. Every time a picture of a707 I think I need to order one.

For the money, it is tough to beat a G-10 Spydrco Dragonfly. With the thin blade, it cuts like mad. It is probably the most EDC friendly knife I own. It really is a "little-big" knife.

-CS Mini-Lawman, Hold Out III, Mini Recon 1. G-10 handles, AUS8 blades, Tri-Ad lock.

-Buck Vantage Pro. The small one has a sub 3" blade (G-10, S30V).

-Kershaw Leek. There's one with S30V blade and G-10 handle, not sure about the price. I've got the one with the composite blade (love it) and paid around $75.- for it.

-Spyderco Dragonfly. VG-10 and foliage green G-10.

If you're willing to try any handle materials other than G-10, you can get some pretty good EDC knives in your budget with great blade steel. For instance Delicas or Mini-Griptilians (they also come in different colours, to break the monotony of black handles).

I find it very hard to understand how laws are stated. If I can leagaly carry a knife over three inches that would be great because I currently carry a esee 3 mil. Thanks for all the suggestions you guys make it alot easier to find a well respected knife.

I posted this pic in another thread today, so pardon the redundancy, but a Buck small Vantage 342 meets your parameters. Its under 3", has killer S30V steel and G10 scales. You also get a deep pocket clip (I like to fly under the radar) and a nice manual flipper. I think these are in the $45 range shipped, if you know where to look.
