EDC under $50

Don't take this the wrong way, but it's my money. If I want to pry with it, I'll pry with it. I'm not going to tell you guys how to use automotive tools properly.

We're just trying to help keep you from breaking blades in the future. Keeping a pry bar in the pocket doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

Nevertheless, get a Kabar Dozier for $20. Great knife for the money and easily replaced.

I have $10,000 worth of right tools for the job. But when I'm holding piece of a car under the rack with brake/trans/diff fluid running down my arm, that means I have my other arm to reach whatever is on my person, usually my knife. ....

Don't take this the wrong way, but maybe having some of those right tools on your person would help. :)

Just get a Medium Tanto Voyager for $34 if you want to stay at 3" or less blade length. Something like a Leek just isn't designed for it. Even if it had a thick tip the handle is a bad idea for greasy, sweaty, wet hands and you don't want to put away a liner-lock or frame-lock with a greased up thumb - you might need to use it again shortly with a slick lock-bar.
