Nice patina on the GEC. I think a Manix is on my shortlist for when I go to Colorado in June.

Thanks! Mainly just from cutting various fruit to snack on ;)

And yeah, I think everyone should at least try a Manix 2. The ergos are just superb, and the ball bearing lock is a nice change of pace.

I'm a HUGE ZT fan, and the Manix has some of the heft that I appreciate from my ZTs.

I've definitely thought of picking up a manix 2 as a replacement for my Tenacious.

Gerber Order today and Cadet. If you haven't looked at the Gerber Order you should. It is really a great knife that shouldn't be over looked.

Hey Ken, that is a really nice looking friction folder! Who is the maker?

Its from South Africa by Kroo ( Willem is his real name )
I haven't had it long and he's making me another one , but with Titanium scales and a flat ground Wharncliff blade .

If that is with the new steel and coating tell us how you like it! If it is not, you still got a great knife for a very good discounted price! Win Win.

Nope - that's the old AUS-8A model - still love it - great knife for the money.

Blade Magazine June 2015 issue (taken September 2014):

Today:

Same background. Same shirt. No beard. Different knives. In the first picture, I had a damascus DDR and a 154CM Dalton. In today's picture, I have a damascus Dalton and a PSF27 DDR.
