If I knew she'd actually carry it, I would buy her one. That'd be awesome! But that ain't gonna happen.

Oh I fear the same. Just happy that she is excited about it. In the years I've been with her I've given her lots of nice gifts (much nicer than this), but none have had her this excited. Maybe I'm just a bad gift giver. :D

Can you post a pic of the hills all the way open? I've thought about doing the same but am worried the overall profile wouldn'tlook right.
I'm also carrying my hills today.

It took me a while as well but I'm glad I did now. I'm also glad I did some research on the knife before I got it or I would have been dissappointed. For instance I learned the knife was designed to have late lockup for added strength and a "sticky" lockbar that needs to break in. Sure enough when mine arrived it had both. ;)

I tried another method first, and to be honest I think I prefer it this way.

Thanks for the pics. I actualy think the reverse tanto(or whatever you want to call it) looks best. Grinding it down just makes it a hair to slim for the handle. i might give that reverse tanto a try though.
So far my plans for this knife are multi row bearrings, mirror finish the blade, blue anoed scales, and now that new blade grind.

Very cool, the ONLY thing keeping me from buying that knife is the hole looks to be a tad too close to the spine of the blade. It's mighty thin there. slightly repositioning the spyderhole or a smaller spyderhole would be a better option (for me). Still an awesome knife.
