I have another I made for the show this coming week end. This one was made from an old weathered piece of cocobolo. I milled it down but it still is somewhat distressed, but in a good way. I used black ebony for the liners and the frame on top.
This one has some micro cracks that does not affect structural integrity. It is just made from really old wood. The finish is near glass like but the there are distress marks I can't get to photograph.
