Taking the Hogue out for a test run. Already want the 4" model.

Outstanding ! VZ Grips from Florida used to make better grips for 226, for some reason they are not making those anymore, but those Hogues are very good, especially the Micarta-ones. The gun looks like the old school - one with the rolled pins... :D

Unless something has changed the Bad Monkey is the only one available with the wave. The Spider Monkey does not have a wave.

Actually carrying my Bad Monkey today
Thank you for clearing it ! I see, the wave goes with the model, I got it now... Duh... :D

Haha. The main differences between the Bad and Spider are the size, wave, and cf sculpting. Also the g10 models of the Bad Monkey do not have the wave either, just the cf versions.

@POCEH KOCEB They do not. That little gun can barely hold the .40 barrel. Cool pic, what is your knife on?
I thought so... I'll live with 9mill :D

This is the top of a small garden wall in Morikami Gardens in Miami, we visited the place with some friends over the weekend.
Beautiful place if you go there during the winter and it's not 120 degrees, on the other hand summer is the time for all the beer and dragon rolls,
if you can walk the trail and get to the little restaurant in the exhibition center... :D

Got it, thanks again !
I spent some time in the site, mostly checking out the tanto versions, I like those but I'm not sure about the way they grind the tip of those... I guess they have to do it, otherwise it'll look much Emerson-ish...
I like those anyway.
How's the lock doing with some use, does it goes more to the the liner or stays with the early lockup ? I love my CQC-7 but the lock goes deeper and deeper, I wish I can send it somewhere to carbidize it...

On my way to do some fresh water fishing.

Nice Penn needler. Own 2 Conflicts and 2 Battles myself. Will never buy any spinning reels besides Penns again.

Great scenery pics POCEH. Gotta admit that dragon roll kinda grosses me out as it looks like a caterpillar.:o Sure it's tasty though.

Thank you. After the fourth beer you probably wouldn't care how the dragon-caterpillar roll taste like... :D
It wasn't the great -one but wasn't bad.

Like that Mcusta!

I've handled the tanto blades up close and really like how they do them. As for the lockup, my satin version is settled in pretty early for the moment. The black one I am carrying today moved slightly before settling in but neither go far enough over for the lock to be fully under the tang. I am not 100% on this but I am pretty sure they carbidize all of their lock bars now. I am not sure about the early versions.

I'm just carrying one knife today, snapped up from the Exchange!!

That said, that sushi that Poceh's Tactility was hanging out with would be greatly appreciated right now!

POCEH KOCEB - Dan is correct, the Spider Monkey currently is not offered with the wave feature. I have to imagine they will eventually add this to their "build your own" section of the website and it may be offered as an option at that point.

Another Tactility?!

Yessir! :D

What's completely crazy is how different in feel they both are even though almost duplicates in design. The scale materials make a real difference.

The only downside here is that I need to spend some time with this knife, as the edge isn't up to my standards. The Quincewood Tactility I have from you, I keep receipt-paper slicing sharp. This one is...less so, but I'll get it squared away.

That's some good info, thanks again
Those Mcustas are contagious... I like to have the one with the white Corian and also few other models as the blue Katana (I think ?) that was pictured earlier here, great knife, even I'm not crazy about metal scales...
They worth every penny, I believe.
The Tactility is one of my favorites, I convexed the bevel on Ken Onion's little belt gimmick and this thing is going trough everything effortlessly, plus it is good looking. I think...
