One new and one freshened up today. Went to Blade HQ and picked up a Kizer Splinter, which I really like, and I received my CF scale for my 0450 from Chris at Nyfestyle.com today. A bit more of a beast to swap out than I anticipated, but looks great and really lightens the knife quite a bit.

Not like the ZT isn't gorgeous but this Kizer looks very good, even to me, a guy that don't like too much folders and framelocks

Yep, Ol' Rocky has been getting quite a workout. Today I was stripping coax cable, cutting copper wire, and cutting a bunch of zip ties. Its still sharp as hell! As much as I love my CRK's, I know for sure that these same chores would have caused some dull spots on them!

Ya know, I've never really been into Striders, but something about their digi-cam blades really sparks my interest!

It's nice to know that the steel on the Rockstead lives up to the claims.

I really like this Strider, I bought it used, and it already had the modified scale, polished pivot, and re profiled edge. The Anso type pattern on the scale makes it radiused and thinner than the original Lego shape. it's comfy in the hand and pocket. I was surprised just how light the knife is too. The digicam blade is pretty cool. I don't know exactly how they do it, but it's not just a normal coating, it's like a combo of DLC coating and diagonal satin grinding. The effect is really cool, and hides wear pretty well. Also, the 3/4 hollow grind, and re profiled edge makes it a good slicer.

Vesper by Mark Varga.

The vesper's blade looks a little ugly to me (perhaps lack of a choil or the thumb hole or the blade finish?) but when I step back and look at the overall design and flow of the knife, I fall in love.

The feel in the hand is amazing. He even made reverse grip solid and comfortable.

I know its not entirely comparable, but still...

I was always interested in Snus. (Like chew. Kinda).
And I managed to get myself addicted to it for about a month.
I would buy a whole tin, and have one or two and then throw it away to force myself to not have any more.
Well, I bought another and the cycle repeated until I found that I almost finished off an entire tin. Every day on the ride home from work I would have one. And I also found myself leaving it in longer and longer.
I was falling into it for a vice after a tough day at work.
I quit multiple times.
Now, I don't use it anymore. I stick to my cigars as a hobby, but don't chew or use Snus anymore.
Even though I liked the taste and the subtle buzz. It really tempts me to buy more simply because I liked it, but I don't.

What I'm getting at is, don't beat yourself up because you fell-off today. Quitting on the second try is still quitting. I know tobacco and alcohol are apples to oranges, but I wanted to share. :)
Good luck bud. :)

The brand new Emerson, my first. These are tanks not for the faint of heart. Love it!!

Congrats on the new knife. I love Emersons, I have several, but I don't have a commander...yet!

You still need to check out the Emerson sub forum. Just so you can feed the addiction. :D
