Cool patina. Excellent album!
Thanks, its the only patina I have done that is actually holding up. And yes Jar of Flies is a classic, RIP Layne Staley.

Great little EDC blade. Just pocket carrying mine.
Those grips might make me come to appreciate the Griptillian again one day...
I had given up on the large grip - I didn't like the flimsy grips and didn't want to shell out for Wilkins grips.
When I heard about the AWT grips I was all over that. I have med size hands, so they feel a bit blocky to me and I think the edges could have been rounded or chamfered a bit more, but it is still 99% better than it was stock. I love this knife now - and being a sucker for Green/OD that's a big bonus. Love this color combo.
I'm going to have to give this some real thought now, especially since they have the 20CV Grip now, so I can even have a better steel choice than 154cm and a better handle (I know that one has G10, but honestly the AWT grips are still much better).
yeah I also prefer the feel of Ti/Alu handles.
Mine is the M4 grip - so no complaints about the blade steel. But I am tempted to get a Sheepsfoot in 20CV now.
Man those are mean looking blades.
Does the Otanashi have a slight greenish tint on the lock side? Either way it looks sweet!
Nice! Isn't the little one have essentially the Hissatsu size blade in the smaller Otanashi type handle ?Thanks, Dan! I was on nearly 2 months of vacation, and it's good to be back. And, yes, the Otanashi has a lighter shade of "black" and it looks a bit green in certain light and angles. Here's another look:
Both are well put together - fit and finish are quite good, edges are near perfect, and the actions are smooth. Lockbars are both a little stiff - hopefully they'll work themselves in with use. And I'm getting used to the thumb disc - I haven't had a thumb disc in a long time (10 years maybe). Overall, I'm pleased so far...
