That's so damn pretty I had to go, for the first time, to Meford's site and see what it takes to get one. Wayyyyyy, out of my price range, I stick under $500, but man it's a beauty.

Not the first time I've ventured up into that dollar level, but I feel I received the most for my money with this one as compared to others of similar cost. Size is obviously one of those factors, although the Custom Emerson Super Roadhouse I previously had was big too. The design is actually well thought out and useful; the compound grind offers a large slicing area that is super effective plus a very heavy duty tip for hard use plunging, the huge gear-type jimping works well in many positions, the hidden thru-blade stop-pin is clean and uber-strong appearing, the gigantic width makes it amazingly stable in the hand. As a folder, this really can fulfill a very hard use function that I might otherwise feel the need to relegate to a fixed blade, making this a great winter Carhart coat pocket companion (it is superb with gloves too).
