Is that a Pflueger President?

Quantum Octane.... Loaded up the kayak after work yesterday and headed to a small lake close to me. Was a beautiful day, only caught 2 bass though.

Guess i shouldn't leave this guy out either...it stays in my tackle box / on the kayak

I don't know what to tell you, I wouldn't call the BT-70 "budget" simply because it is close to a hundred bucks and if it wasn't the BT anniversary knife, with his name on it,
I wouldn't probably pay so much for a large knife made of Chinese steel.

I love the design, I believe I do understand the idea behind the double bevel, and everything he's not really saying in the video on CRKT's site, I love the size of the knife and I have no problem
paying $100 for it when it carries his name, but other than this, the knife as the way it's made, materials and so on, probably worth about half the price IMO.
Except for SD, I would not carry this knife, I have no use for it, simply because the blade is too thick and the steel isn't anything special. Not like it have to be on this knife, just saying.
I would like to see it made out of better steel, with slightly thinner blade.
It's probably funny to say that you collect cheap brands, but with this knife this is exactly the case with me, I consider it valuable because of B.Terzuola's name and original design, not much for execution and materials or something else.

The FOX Terzuola is completely different story, I believe it worth every penny, both versions, the "tactical" and the "gentleman", the one I got.

Those three today, not pictured also the fourth-one: CS new Voyager that I forgot in the truck... :D

Well, budget is something of a subjective term for me. I call all $100 or less imported knives budget knives. LOL In truth, I don't mind the BT-70's materials or price. I think it looks like a great knife, and as soon as BHQ gets 'em back in stock, I'll most likely pull the trigger. As is, I am waiting for a Starmate to fall into my lap at the right price. I LOVE that knife. Love love love.

Also hey, brother. You don't have to explain why you like a knife, no reason to at all. I like some things myself that would have some knife folks scratching their heads. LOL One of my favorite knives? Here it is (not my pic, mine's in the safe):

Inexpensive, and oddly shaped, but I love it. I ALSO love the Fox Terzuola. I've definitely got one in my wishlist. I actually briefly met Bob at Blade. He seemed like a nice enough guy, which is always good.

Woo Hoo! New knife!
I paid a bit too much ($30) but its pretty close to perfect. Even for a Case knife.
Blade is fairly centered, not really any gaps, straight blade, no play, smooth, good snap, even bevels, and the bevels even go all the way out to the tip.
The tip is really close to protruding when closed, but it doesn't so I won't complain.
And holy heck, this sucker is SHARP. By FAR the sharpest knife I have ever received out-of-box, and even sharper than anything I've ever sharpened.
So I guess $30 wasn't too bad.

Green micarta covers with ATS-34 blades I believe. I'm a sucker for green/OD micarta - so needless to say, I'm in love with this knife.

Can't wait to see your back-pocket trapper once you get it!

I love the look of that micarta as well my friend! I must say that the marble carbon fiber coming on my trapper is my eternal weakness ever since I first saw it. I have yet ot find a material that mesmerizes me like marble carbon fiber, but hey, I'm young ;) :D

Hey man I still love a good Case knife, especially those little sodbusters, even with way too many knives that cost so much more than those ;)

Very nice pairing today Luc!

Cocobolo Beer Scout for me today.

Thanks Erik - tomorrow I'll be carrying one of my Beer Scouts because I'll be having several chilled ones after work :o)

that Cocobolo sure is nice!

Outstanding John, I love it ! I'm not sure if those are the Mighty Morphins, but in the first moment I saw the picture, it did look like Silversurfer riding the blade, one of my favorite comics heroes... :D
And just call me Jordan, don't kill yourself with this non-pronounceable "Poceh"...

Haha thanks, brother! They're tiny figures from the Ant-Man movie that my buddy had at his work desk. Figured I could steal 'em for a quick shot! I also love Silver Surfer and a ton of other Marvel titles, as well as DC. With all the movies coming out over the next couple years, now's the perfect time to be a comic book geek!

And Jordan it is haha! I just didn't wanna throw your name out there in case you're a superhero with a secret identity :black_eyed:

Cool pic , Jon. That Cara Cara2 is a killer knife for the bucks!

How dare you forget the H in my name?! Two can play at this game, Kevn ;)

Vic Rambler on my keys, alox Pioneer loose in pocket, and this... doesn't get much better, imo. :)

Only my Alox Cadet this week since I'm traveling to Long Beach. I own quite a few CRKs, traditionals, Spydercos, BMs, and some customs but if I had to use only one knife for life it would be the Cadet.
