Beach carry today. Not the Muela, it's staying in my bag. It's a great knife nonetheless. Cheap, 440C, sharpens easy, and legal because the back edge isn't sharpened[emoji106]

Not a good day...this young grey in the background showed up less than a year ago in our back yard. Clearly a stray. We took him in, and he proved to be a great little family pet. Tons of personality. Got bad news today that he's in the midst of kidney failure. Holding vigils today and tomorrow. Likely to be his last night. Thank you BF for providing an escape when distractions are needed. As for today...I have a good knife, good drink, and one outstanding companion.

Joel, sorry for your struggle. I spent the last day with our dog today as well; he's had cancer for the greater of two years and has fought valiantly. My thoughts flow in your direction and I wish you strength man.

Anyways, today and into the night, it's been these two:

**Instead of J.D's, it's been a Kava night for me :)

Two Benchmades for me today...a definite rarity as I'm usually a Spyderco dude. Call me crazy, but I'm trying out the Nestucca for small FB duty in my urban environment. In my eyes, the multiple hand positions the design provides enable it to do so many tasks and flex into numerous roles...EDC, utility, light wilderness, food prep and even SD, so long as an ultra quick draw isn't required. Just throwing it in my back pocket like a wallet (which I carry in my front pocket). :D

Gary that's a great looking knife. Love the blade shape.

Joel and Robert - I'm so sorry to hear about your furry loved ones. Our cat also had kidney failure but we were able to keep her going for several years by using prescription food. She lasted 19 great years.

Today I'm carrying these two Micarta beauties. 3" XM 18 and custom Sodbuster Jr.
