What in the world is this
This is the Daboia aka Kevin John Venom II (2). It's a beautiful piece, there's no denying it, but there is some controversy surrounding it, or it's designer rather (K. John).
It is a Chinese-made flipper. The Daboia model was sold with high(er) end materials and components: s35vn, titanium, carbon fiber, tritium inserts, ceramic pivot bearings, steel lockbar insert - just an awesome piece all-around. It was sold "sterile" (with no logo) as a limited run directly from Custom Knife Factory (CKF) via their website. It has since been discontinued.
The Venom II variant is (usually) the same knife as the Daboia, but featured a big logo etched on the blade. The Venom II was (and is) offered on the various Chinese wholesale sites...but a word of CAUTION about those versions - they have been offered in many lower end forms, no tritium, g10, lower steel, steel/alum. handle, etc. So beware of that.
I just picked up the Daboia by chance, in great condition, for a price that wasn't grossly inflated. Of course as fate would have it, another one popped-up on a popular auction site the day after I found this one. They can still be found, sometimes on the exchange, sometimes on auction sites - just be patient and keep an eye out.
I also have the Venom II version, which is equal to the Daboia in terms of quality, finish, grind, craftsmanship/machining etc. - though it has the ugly (imho) logo and uses 440c steel. Also, it was half the price of (new) Daboia.
Since I do have both versions, I
might take a "stab"

at refinishing the Venom II blade to get rid of the logo. I'm still debating that...
