EDC - What's in your Car ?

What do I win?

A Cabellas Franchise maybe.

At least the thanks of your local gas station.

Compass - 4
CB and magnetic antenna

Hopefully stored apart.

It's good to have four compasses too. With moving parts, they are subject to breakdown.

Sea Kayaks - 2 (7 paddles, 4 PFD's, 2 wetsuits, spare clothes)

In the unlikely event of a water landing.

He's probably seen that global warming movie.

Flare guns - 3

Can never have enough flare guns.

Hiking poles (commercial & handmade Sotols)
Sandals & paddle shoes

Sandals are great for hiking.

:D

I've got a Gerber double edged dagger I bought about 20 years ago, a Buck Miltitool, a SwissCard and a Wenger SAK. Don't need them all but I'll not go without! Also 2 d cell Maglight.

Its illegal in Australia to carry anything that resembles a weapon in a public place, and your car is deamed a public place.
About 2 years ago, I was pulled over by the police ( revenue collectors ) for a speeding infringement, I was speeding due to the fact I was running late for an appointment due to a flat tyre, wasn't in the most jovial mood and passed my attitude onto the cops. They searched my car, found the wheel brace that I threw under my drivers seat, and proceeded to charge me for carrying a weapon. Later had the charge dropped as I found a witness to vouch for my tyre changing.
Wouldn't want to live in any other country, but some of our laws are hard to follow.

Now that I look at it, it does sort of look like I'm some kind of Armageddon freak. Perhaps I need to tell "the rest of the story."

I travel full-time in an RV and pull the pickup behind the motorhome. It's my 'garage' and the only place I have to store my stuff.

Nope. But sometimes we go to some pretty remote places (in the truck) and end up camping out.

<< Can never have enough flare guns. >>
Meets the CG requirements for both my wife and I. Since they are dated, I keep the out-of-date ones as backups. Hope I don't need them, but...

<< Sandals are great for hiking. >>
Not for me. These are for paddling. Keep the hikers in the closet.

I think I'll load the car with some broken bottles and bowling balls, leave the seatbelt off and drive with a knife in my TEETH!

I feel rebellious today.
