I really enjoy this thread, but I'm curious as to the number of people who edc a firearm. Do you all carry for a job or simply for self defense? Do you live somewhere that a carry permit is easily obtainable?

Well Sir I pack daily, where ever I go, work or play its always on me! I live in WA state and as long as you have a CCP your good to go

I carry 24/7 and I do have my CCDW. I carried before I had it but when my wife got her permit I figured I may as well be legal also. It only cost me around $120 total and a Saturday afternoon. I'm an HVAC tech so I carry purely for self defense.

I've had my CWP in two states (three if you count my Utah non-resident license) since I was old enough to get one. I'm an old Boy Scout, so true to the motto "Be Prepared" I am:) also, I wore a badge that said Police for a few years and I've seen people at their worse.

I carry daily where it legal to do so. My most carried pistol is my Keltec P32 because it's easy to hide. If I feel the need for something bigger I carry my Kahr CM9 or Glock 19. I go to the range once a month and fire 50 round from each gun to make sure we're still a good team. Then I go home and soak my hands...getting older is a b$&@! And I don't recommend it.

Work tools. For some reason those old linemans are my favorite set of pliers, haven't had a new pair I liked more yet.

I'll start carrying the less practical more fun things on the weekend, no holepunchers allowed at work but conveniently rarely any screw/nuts to loosen or wires to cut on the weekend.
