What filter (for lack of a better term) do you use to get that glow around the hardware in your photos?

Have you considered silver-soldering that nut onto the back of the blade?
A little touch-up paint and it would look like it was born there.

I am quite bad at soldering, TBH, and this way I can remove it should I want to get the thumbstuds back for any reason.

But yeah, I considered it on bigger folders like these:
