Change up on the pocketknife. I am now currently packing a custom made single blade Slim Jack pattern by T.A. Davison with ATS-34 Wharncliffe Blade that'll shave the hair off your Hyde and Armadillo scales.. Otherwise the shooting iron and the pocketables are all still the same.

Just upgraded my EDC knife from a sheepsfoot Mini-Grip to a Spyderco Caly III with carbon fiber scales and ZDP-189 laminate blade.

Trying to decide on an EDC. I'm looking at the BM Skirmish 630, BM 710 D2, Emerson Commander, & Emerson CQC-12. Any thoughts?

Mini Manix in the pocket, LM Wave, Busse Skeleton Warden, BM Mini Rukus & Night Ops Gladius in the bag.

You should probably start a new thread if you want more answers, plus it kind of changes the focus of this thread. But to answer your question-

-I'm not a fan of the Skirmish, though it has a strong following. I don't like the blade length to handle length ratio.
-Of the 4 choices, I like the 710D2 the most. I prefer PE over CE.
-I've never really tried to handle an Emerson knife, mainly, because they've never really appealed to me visually and I'm not a fan of liner locks. HOWEVER, they seem to be a great company with a faithful following. I've been fortunate to handle a custom Emerson once (the only one I've really handled) and it was excellent in quality. Emerson also brought the "Wave" feature to the knife world (though as far as I know, it's argued among some of the knife community if he was the originator of the concept). Regardless I love the wave feature.

How do you like the Avalanche? Does it open just as fast as the Whirlwind and the Blackout?? I just bought a new Leek, but decided I want either the Blackout or the Avalanche due to the blade being larger. Now I need to sell the Leek.

Sunnyd, that's a beautiful knife, mate. Just fantastic.

If'n you are talking about the Armadillo folder I am ver happy to oblige a comment or two with you!..
