Edwood, since our tastes are so similar I think you almost have to get a Carter. I just know how much you'd fall in love with it. There is this Damascus dagger sitting right in front of me that says your name on it... Literally (I have a post-it note on it saving it for you).

I may have to put the Voyager and Manix knives away. These are old models that Cold Steel and Spyderco don't make any more (OK, they currently make models that bear those names, but it's like comparing a '72 Dodge Charger with a 2002 model).

Either 550 or 551. One's in elmax steel (phased out IIRC because it was too hard to procure). The other is in s35vn IIRC. Neither are for sale anymore and only available for pre-order due to the difficulty in obtaining the blade steel at the time of production. It's a Hinderer design. Hinderer mentioned that there would be a new additional model coming out with a flipper that has replaceable g10 scales.

Thanks, they are Oakley Oil Rigs with the Text designs.. They were solid White with the Text designs all over them, but I painted the frames black and make them two-tone
