My EDC for today. Sorry about the blown out pic, still getting used to this new camera.

Is that a crossbreed? I need a better way to daily my G36. Any feedback?

How good does that blade finsh on the ZT hold up to use?

I still can't say, I just got this a couple of weeks ago. I've used the ZT a little on wood and cardboard and what seems to be scratches at first look, turn out to be material from the "cuttee" that is deposited on the coating, and wipes away with a little WD-40.

Yes I read comics ! I’m only human.

Nothing wrong with reading comics. That finger on your keychain, now...

(Today's knives for an afternoon hike: Bark River Rising Wolf w/blue denim micarta handle, and Victorinox Pioneer Harvester. No pics, sorry. It was raining too much.)

Negative. That's a Comp-Tac M-TAC. I carry a fullsize steel 1911 in one of those holsters nearly every day. Decent holster. The Crossbreed SuperTuck is just like it, but has steel clips. The M-TAC's clips are plastic, but work pretty well with a thick belt. I went with the M-TAC as the holster covers the entire 5" barrel, vs. the SuperTuck, which allows the barrel to protrude past the kydex.

The ZT's use Tungsten DLC (diamond like coating), and with everything that's out there on the market, it's incredibly tough:

(Note: The edge looks weird because I converted this to a chisel point - easy sharpening on site :D)

Small scratches as you can see, but it has an impressive track record. As a computer / network technician, I've pried computer cases open, punched holes through drywall, cut dense ceiling tiles, went through plywood, MDF, concrete, cut insulation trim, and even dropped it tip first on my driveway. I'm super impressed with this knife, and they're built extremely tough. When I work on site, I make sure this is the knife that I bring with me.

I've had this for about two years now, and it's been to every single through application I put it through. I use this mainly as a pry bar.

Side note: The ZT 0100 fixed blade is first coated with a Tenifer coating (like a Glock), and THEN Tungsten DLC is applied on top of that. Naturally I want one :D

Today I thought I'd go strictly Spyderco..... Lefty Military strongside and Streetbeat horizontal crossdraw... and diggin it:thumbup:
