So let's say I am a little disappointed with Emerson these days. For a knife this size and around $110, paint coming off is unacceptable. I am switching to Benchmade and Microtech. I will post my benchmades and kershaws maybe later on another thread

Personally I think it looks awesome. The paint is coming off of my Cold Steel Mini AK-47 very easily and it just gives the knife character. I have my knives to use, not to look pretty.

Well, you got me wrong. Some knives look good with some wear-off signs. That's not my point. I don't particularly mind that mine is worn off a little. My point is from the company's quality control. A company like Emerson charging a premium price for their products shouldn't they make sure that their products are every bit high quality as they should be before shipping? I don't mind some paint coming off, I can always have them custom-painted. As a matter of fact, I still carry it everyday. However, Emerson should. It's his product, it's his reputation that is on the line. Some people may like it, some may not. And guess what the people who don't like it will say to others....

I have 4 Emerson knives, all manufactured between 2009 and 2010. Super commander, blade play. Super karambit, too tight to use the wave figure (fixed it later, but out of the box...). CQC7, dull out of box (sharpened it later, but....damn).

I mean, I like their product design and all, and I carry them all the time. But damn, it's really hard to complement on their quality control. I mean I spent more than $1000 on their knives (with international shipping and taxes), I still had to spend around $200 just to get them ready for using? Do you think that's ok? I respect Emerson as knife maker and all, but #1 hard use and battle proven?

With all due respect...

Yeah...thats why I don't invest in more expensive knives...just not for me. I'm happy with my inexpensive production knives that I can beat on relentlessly without feeling bad.

Spent some time in the regional academy, terrorizing the new guy’s with my full auto paint ball gun. I’m Training a new security team that will be put to work in a few months whit one of the local police commanders.

Here is a picture of some of them braking formation after a pop out behind one of the cars (panic takes hold).

it's the kershaw skyline (model 1760).

Thank you sir. I like the looks of it, particularly the blade shape. I just don't like how low the clip sits when positioned as tip-up (I prefer low-rider clips). That said, I may have to check one of these out!

Yeah I've dealt with Steve a couple times. I got a low-rider clip for my Ritter Mini Grip from him last year. He recently sent me a Skype contact/friend request!

Thanks again!
