^^^Nice little neck knife Tony. Does Ti hold a good edge?
Generally I'd say: not so good as steel, not so bad as I thought when I got to know they're about 47 HRC.

But...
After 1 year using these titanium knives by Mission Knives I got to discover many things. In fact, if you use it against very hard things, knock a rock accidentally or against steel (for example if you are using a fork or another knife) Titanium will damage much easier than steel. On the other hand I got to know that Ti is really
really wear resistant. On a simple field test, comparing the MPK with the Fällkniven A1, I was amazed how the A1 lost its edge compared with the MPK-Ti when cutting various and different lengths of ropes. Some weeks ago I discovered by accident that a Ti folder that I was using was scratching my kitchen plates. After realizing that, I decided to check it better and made a 1mm deep cut into a beer bottle (glass). I tried with my VG-10 Delica just to prove it to my eyes, and as expected it didn't cut. A couple of minutes on the sharpmaker and the Delica was fine. A couple of
HOURS on the sharpmaker, free hand sharpening with different diamond stones grits and the Ti blade is "quite ok". First time I tried to sharpen a Ti blade on a coarse ceramic stone I sharpened the stone, not the blade

For diving I like Ti a lot. Other than than, do I need it? No, but it's a great fun to use and have!
EDIT: For example, on the pics that I posted I was carving for more than 2 hours. In the end the blade was still shaving hair from my arms.
