I'm new to this with knives and I thought that if I tried a cheap knife from each of the larger brands I'd know what to go for later on. But now I don't know, Benchmade, Buck, Spyderco and now Kershaw and I really like them all! At least now I know where all my money will go in the future..

Out on a Hike, Have a couple here, and Esse 6, Benchmade 940, and a BCNW-O1 in Lignum Vitae (Thanks Mike Lumino for a wonderful blade and a great buying experience)

And by the way, I cut down that tree no problem with the Amazing Silky Super Accel, much etter in my opinion than the Sawvivor

Nice knife, welcome to the forums! Remember to really use them all, and sharpen them all. Eventually everything will lock up and you will see what kind of knives you really like and prefer. It will come naturally. :)
Good luck and my condolences on your wallet.

You making fun of my name??? :-\

Kidding! Welcome to the forum, and you're right, expect to be spending a lot of money in pursuit of your ultimate knife!! Muahahahahaha!

Robert B:

That's a lovely tool. Like Yobbos1, I'd be interested in how you rate its quality.

Aha! the much anticipated Kissing Crane. What do you think of it so far?

It's pretty good, the blades mesh together when closed with no rub and the lockup is tight...there is a little gap in the bone but for a cheaper knife its still a great purchase.

Here is today's: The knives are a Kurt Allen Swearingen Bird & trout with 1082 steel and red maple burl, a small sebenza with black Micarta inlay and a GEC Northfield pioneer in red barnboard bone and 1095 blade steel

HAH! Snigel means snail/slug in swedish, so I guess a whole country is making fun of you!

And thank you guys, I've finally gotten a job that allows me to spend money on what I like!

I'm really liking my Spyderco Dragonfly 2 PE FRN sans clip in my small (change, watch, condom, knife) jeans pocket.

A great EDC without pocket-entry interference, IMO.
