There have been so many nice pics of GBs recently, I had to get mine out today

Oh man I wish I had that Millie.

I'm gonna go a bit off topic - Now I can't decide: Go for the Manix in BD30, Caly in ZDP-189, Military in XHP, or Para2 in CTS20P.... want good cutting and edge retention like M4, but really don't know... suggestions? :D

I would grab the Para 2, it has better edge retention then M4 but you will be paying a pretty penny. BD30 is similar to S30V. I heard XHP is a stainless version of D2 which has above average edge retention. ZDP-189 is also a great edge holding steel, but if I were you, I would get a Stretch 2 instead of a Caly.

Sage 3 for me today...

That's a tough decision in my eyes, they're all great knives but for general EDC, the 20CP para2 would probably be my pick from that list. Mine sees alot of pocket time.

I have the manix2 BD30P and I like BD30P better than S30V. IMO BD30P sharpens up better and holds it's razor edge longer, but I haven't tested overall edge retention though. Another plus for the BD30P manix2 is it's textured G10, I love it.

ZDP is A very good steel, I EDC'd an endura4 FFG ZDP for a year straight, then I got a para2 S30V (but i like ZDP better than S30V) and the endura has been taking a long vacation in my draw. Once I got my 20CP para2, it's been my go to para and main EDC.

If you prefer a bigger knife, the Millie would be a great choice. BTW, the Millie and manix2 BD30P weight the same (about 4.25oz).

Actually, it's not that bad for a Para2 in 20CP. It's the average I spend on my knives. I started out local, and I've been basically paying full MSRP for my Benchmades until I found a source elsewhere :D. That being said, so far my usual places are sold out of them :grumpy:

Why Stretch and not the Caly? Also, I can't seem to find a Stretch 2 up here in Canada.

Hmm, so it looks like a two vote for the Para2 in 20CP. Looks like I have a few things to think about for my next acquisition.

Thanks for the tip on weight. I like heavy knives (like the Gayle Bradley), but definitely want the stronger cutting edge.

I'm going out tonight, have to keep it classy. Luckily, this just came back from warranty repair:

Another vote for the 20CP para Kyrs, you can always get the BRG ZDP stretch later. The 20CP para might not be as easy to get by then. Oh and if you like M4, I'm guessing 20CP is for you.

I'll second that for the Para 20CP. I like this steel's performance.

:p LOL. Archer1, you're actually 4th-ed. I just called my guy and he said he actually has one he's willing to sell for a sweet price. And now to save up some $$ :D
