I got this tobacco leather pouch from my grandmother this week, it belonged to her husband (my granddad) who passed away way back in 1991 when I was still a baby. It seems to have been made in England, as the stamp says and it's still in very good condition. Since I don't smoke I had to come up with a different kind of usage for it...

I thought I'd use it as a pouch for my secondary knife, which I could carry in my inner breast pocket on my vest.
A brown coloured pouch would require a classic, simple yet aesthetic knife with a brown handle.
My choice fell on one of my n°7 Opinel.

I must say I really like the combination. However, I'm still thinking about what I could add to this pouch. A small flashlight perhaps. If anybody has some ideas, I'd be glad to hear them.

Flashlight, multitool (SAK/Leatherman), Pen (Fisher SpacePen), Moleskin, essential first aid kit (bandages + wet napkins), survival tools (paracord, small mirror, water purification), and possibly a small furry rodent.

Alternatively, you can turn it into a wallet.

Thank's for the suggestions! I'm going to look into that rodent for sure, haha.
I'm going to get me one of those Alox victorinox knives pretty soon, that would make a good addition indeed, didn't think about that.
Sak and flahlight will be it, it needs to remain comfortable as well so I'm not going to stuff it completely full.
I always carry a rather large first aid kit in my backpack and I have 2 in my car, so I'm not going to need an extra one, besides, It wouldn't fit.

Thank's again, good ideas! Great picture of that PM 2 as well, got to get me one of those sooner or later.

Spyderco Paramilitary 2. I finally got one as an early anniversary present. I am loving this knife!

New here...
Hello, all.

Today I'm carrying these. It's nice to have a back up. Don't always carry two, but am quickly getting into the habit of doing so.

You wouldn't believe how many times two bandages have saved my ass (see pic of my Emerson cutting my thumb). Always handy tho, but I understand bulk.

I love the PM2! Can't wait to see what new steel comes out on it... although I'm tempted to get the SuperBlue Caly...

Hello BTK, and welcome to the forums!

Are those autos or manuals? Regardless, they look mean. :grumpy:

The welcome is appreciated.

They're autos...pretty nice. At least nice enough for the price.
I tend not to spend alot of money on blades. Wife, daughter...I'm outnumbered.
Money gets spent on them first. I get what's left over. :(

A few bandages might be thrown in, yet I'm mostly in the vicinity of my car or I have my backpack with me since I'm a student and I usually walk around wearing that thing. It occurs not very often that I'm caught without a fairly well balanced first aid kit. I've got a lifeguard degree and often take evening or holidayjobs in swimming pools or swimming ponds so I'm aware of the importance of first aid.

Those high-quality steel PM2's look really good as well, however I'd already be glad to purchase one in s30v, haha.

@g.Shark - Nice pouch! I think a Maratac Cu AAA light would be perfect. It's small, handy, and develops a lovely patina in not too much time (mine took about a month, and I did nothing to accelerate it.) Depending on tools desires, a small copper Alox or wood SAK would be nice. I'd be tempted to drop in a small brown Case knife myself - I'm partial to the medium stockman right now. But it may be a bit redundant with the Opinel - which is a very nice match.

To stay on topic, I've got my newly sharpened BM940 riding RFP deep carry, and my well-abused KAI Shallot tucked away in my jacket pocket.
