dumb question ive never owned a buck vantage.. how you like it// i was gonna get one for wifey.. shes a store manager and cuts like 300 boxes a day

Do get the s30v version (Buck Vantage Pro). It won't cost you a lot of money and you won't have to resharpen it as often. If your wife spends her day cutting 300+ cardboard boxes a day, I'd really recommend a better steel than 420hc if you don't want to find yourself resharpening it all the time. They are great knives, though.

I found this one in Chiapas, at the home of a very talented craftsmen, that knife has been with him for a long time, and after I helped him install a computer at his home, he gave me this knife ( it a appears that I have knife lover written on my face. I know nothing about it.
I have this same knife, it was my grandpa's when he was alive.

Went to the swamp this afternoon took the ESEE 6 and a CZ p-07 DUTY. I usually carry a ruger .44 mag or .357 mag when I'm in the woods but I don't feel under gunned at all when the .40 is loaded with Double Tap 200 gr. WFNGC rounds. they are bone smashers for 4 legged creatures.

I'm sporting the Spyderco Resilience today. Lots of knife for the money. And chicks dig the sick mirrored edge.

That Resilience is one sharp looking knife. I see you are using it tip down. I did the same with my Tenacious after it almost gave me a nasty bite. I now carry all knives tip down, except for lock backs and Axis lock knives.

It says S30V on the blade. I have not heard of an S60V version, but that doesn't mean one isn't made. Would be interested in knowing more about it, but unless the blem on mine is that it's mismarked as S30V when it's actually S60V, mine isn't one.

Blues

As far as I know there was a small batch of S60V made and they all ended up as blems, I picked one up ages ago, instead of number it has an xxxx mark and all that was 'wrong' with it is that the grind line is uneven on one side... cuts like hell still, got scar to prove.

There are a few in my gallery, click my profile. Everything here is sized down for the web though. I host them from my ISP, I don't use photobucket.
