After selling my ZT350, I never thought a knife that chunky would make it into my pocket again.

bored out of my mind

That's awesome Ed, I would love to throw a butterfly or jacob's ladder into your hands :D

On another note, which knife is this story about? Your Winkler Belt Knife?

how do you like that knife? also do you have the vg-10 version?

I like it a lot, Chad and yes, it is indeed the VG-10 Seki - Japan version. Just as a little anecdote, tonight I had occasion to cut a section of dried Sunflower stock. The day before, I used a Cold Steel serrated Vaquero to cut some stock and with some difficulty, it chewed through it. Tonight I thought, let's see how the Visionary will do - one single swipe and it cut cleanly, and I mean cleanly, through the stock. That knife performed as good or better than any other knife I own. I recommend it highly.

I was originally carrying the Military on site today, but I got a nice box in the mail today!

Spyderco Caly 3 CF with ZDP-189/420J2

I LOVE this Caly. It's such smooth lines and it's so well balanced.

This thing is scary sharp. I have never had a folder this hair-popping.

Overall, awesome first impressions, but one small gripe: anyone out there with a Caly 3 in CF that has the other side of the blade unevenly assembled?

[I will post pics of ZT tomorrow.

Do you mean one having both sides of the grind ground evenly so as to show the lamination of the steel the same on both sides? If so I've seen a bunch in person and many more online and never seen one that was very similar between sides. Kinda the nature of the beast. Check out that backspacer fit though! Wow  beautiful

Been carrying this one for the last several days - one of my favorites even with the slightly off centered blade.
