This is an inexpensive CRKT with chisel grind. The blade is black from the factory, but I flattened and polished the back with Norton waterstones, just as you'd do with a wood chisel.

Very proudly carrying a knife my oldest son made me for Christmas. He snuck around my shop for a month and had obviously been paying attention to the last few knives he helped me with. I made a quick sheath for it today. He nailed the heat treat; this thing is blistering sharp.
