Oh my. Tequila has always treated me right, but I've heard stories.
Agreed! We use Cuervo or Sauza for margaritas, and were curious how the Kirkland compared... It's noticeably worse IMO and it's only a dollar or two cheaper. The Herradura is of course in a different league and generally reserved for drinking straight in our house. Its my go to, but I'm not a hard core tequila guy. The comparison last night was pretty funMost stories involve extremely low quality tequila. Cuervo Gold, Sauza Gold, Margaritaville, those bottom shelf brands that just say "Tequila", etc. They're all 51% tequila, 49% grain alcohol, coloring, and fillers. Even 100% agave tequilas like El Jimador and 1800 aren't much better than that rotgut (easier to drink, but that means people drink more). Bad tequila, bad late-night food, bad vomit, bad stores.
That Herradura on the right though, that's some good stuff. Sip neat, no lime & salt shots. As good as Patron, IMO, and $10-15 less because it doesn't have the hand-blown bottle and marketing campaign expenses.
How are you liking this one? I've seen it pop up in a couple different places, and have considered purchasing one. But haven't pulled the trigger yet.
ThanksVery nice! Who made the scales for the PM2? They look great!![]()
