This model had been nagging at me all year. I kept coming back to it online and considering the purchase. Finally bit the bullet on one in the exchange. The reviews online aren't overly positive though.

ApostleP hated it, which I promptly ignored, but there were a load of others that had little issues with it.

I had to do a little surgery on the heel to fix ZTs terrible plunge/sharpening choil, but it's otherwise perfect. Came apart and went back together beautifully. Locks solid and drops shut. Great knife. I love it.

Thanks so much. Appreciate the info. I’m in the market for a ZT but there are so many attractive pieces it’s hard to choose.

If you're looking at an 0850 I'd go for it.

I'm not a ZT fanboy. Very few of their models interest me at all, but this is just about perfect.

The only other I'd consider owning, due strictly to personal tastes, is the 0562CF. I like the 801Ti as well, but they made it out of the wrong steel.

Thanks Bryce. Those are a little large for me. I’m leaning towards the 0450.

What is the base model? I am looking at my first Medford (Deployment Ramp Nose with Black PVD/Black G10/tumbled Ti non-Flipper) but it is likely much less $$$ than this beauty.
