EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

For me its bead blasted blades. They just appear cheap and they stain easier. Its real nice to see the majority today go with a satin or stone washed finish compared to all the bead blasting that went on in the 90's.

I love customized knives, Blues. That is such an excellent job WValtakis WValtakis did! Congrats.

I've been eying this one for a long time. Is using the blade comfortable ?
Like most multi purpose blades there's compromises with the other tools in the way.
Not that it's necessarily uncomfortable to use, it's also rather large so there's room to move around the hot spots.
But this one isn't designed to be a hard working folder. Basically shove it in pocket when headed for a party or a picnic where it will shine pulling a cork and slicing some cheese and meats.
For those chores it performs perfectly and with the build quality it will last me forever.

Following up on yesterday's conversation amongst Barman1 Barman1 , ErocSD ErocSD , and Edgeoflife Edgeoflife , I had one of those didn't leave the house days today, spending almost its entirety sitting at the kitchen table, putting all our youth b-ball league teams and divisions together, balancing inter- and intra-divisional play, and writing some of the templates before sending all that and notes along to our scheduler. I worked through most of the afternoon in the sweats and t-shirt I slept in :( so I just washed up and put on clean sleep-pants and t-shirt for the next cycle. I had my Wilson Combat Eagle with me whole way, but no pockets for carry until I changed. I generally keep everything stashed away in my knife drawers so when I get up and walk away knifeless for a minute or two I feel weird not having a blade on me, constantly tapping my right hip and feeling the emptiness.

I didn't even get outside for a pic and shot these two on the bathroom counter. What a slug....

Sunday afternoon involved a trip into a seedy part of Houston in search of a replacement front bumper for the old work truck as mine has seen better days so along came the native chief with its long pointy blade...just in case. Scored a decent used bumper from the recyclers without any mishaps, complete with upper and lower valances, that should clean up nicely and make an afternoon project for next weekend.
