I'm currently carrying the Byrd Cara Cara 2 Emerson that I just received from Spyderco.
I don't care that it's made in China and "only" uses 8Cr13Mov steel, it's a nice knife.
It's extremely light, the pattern on the FRN is "grippy" w/o being uncomfortable, the shape of the handle is fits perfectly in m hand, the jimping in the choil and on top of the blade make choking up on the blade very secure/comfortable and the design of the Emerson tab is perfect for smooth and quick deployment from my pocket (as good or better than any other Emerson type folder that own).
On top of that is only costs $37.80 at retail.
It's far from my favorite knife (out of the over 330+ knifes, including over 125+ Spydercos that I own) but for a general purpose EDC and for possible SD use, you can do a lot worst buying something more expensive.
