I think Lee Williams is the same J. L. Williams that worked in the same refinery I did down in Texas. It was a 1200 acre refinery though and he worked on the east end and I was on the west end so I never saw him. I retired from there almost 10 years ago. He makes some really fine knives!
 
What’s the clip made of? Looks almost like carboquartz or forged CF?

It's Amber anodized titanium according to the site. It takes a different color depending on the angle of the light hitting it. Very cool looking. Also has some texturing to it so it looks different in pics.

That would be a really cool fact to have in memory. I had not heard of his knives prior to getting this collab but I'll definitely be looking up more info after playing with this thing.
