Back in the day I had a 940-1, but I never really warmed to that "reverse tanto" blade shape and wasn't that fond of BMK's iteration of S90V either. I thought it kinda brittle and chippy. Anyway, I found my 940(3)-1 Franken on the Exchange some years back, jumped all over it, and sold its predecessor pretty quickly. I like the 943 blade shape a lot and am fine with the S30V. I really should carry this one more, but I generally trend toward more robust handles.

I forgot all about St Patty's day so I didn't think to look for a green knife to carry. I do have a green G10 Tenacious and I guess OD green Micarta would qualify in a a pinch. Didn't go there, though....

Oh man.... That looks even sexier than the reverse tanto...but murdery looking. I have to agree with you that the 940-1 had a not-so attractive shape to it never carried mine.

I like how the micarta is of a darker shade on yours. I’ve seen some with it being a lighter brown or tan. They all look nice.

Yea they do. At times I have to really pay attention on the difference between that particular natural and my red micarta

Thanks, Dylan! The Sowbelly is my favorite pattern, I love it. This one was done very well, I’ll definitely be picking up more Sowbelly patterns in the future (wish GEC would get one going).
