How do you like that 95NL, alliuse? Do you have another 95 to compare the Micarta inlays' grip? How about the Elmax steel? I've heard Shiro does an excellent job with that, but I've yet to have any steel from Shiro that I wasn't really pleased with, including S30V, M390, and Vanax37.
I’m in love with the grind work on that blade! Can you school me about that knife a little?
Sure. That's a Michael Zieba Angry Bird. Michael has a shop in Brooklyn and most of his series of knives have that blade shape. The blades come very sharp. The fit and finish are top notch, they flip quick and fall shut. He also does some really nice extras and finishes on his knives. I really like his work. And, he's a very nice guy.I’m in love with the grind work on that blade! Can you school me about that knife a little?

Thanks so much! I’ve heard that name tossed around before, but somehow have been completely in the dark about his product. I really do appreciate you turning me on to it.Sure. I'll have a chance to handle that knife sometime this fall as part of the Shirogorov NL World Tour, but am interested in your thoughts. I like that Shiro is adding a new model variation of the 95 to their One Bear category as the price point is attractive and their older model 95's are still great knives without the internal milling and utilizing SRBS, which I find to be very fast and free-flipping. I don't know that I'll be purchasing an NL, as I've already got 2 95s plus a Hati amongst my Shiros, but you never know in this hobby.
In the meantime, I'm going with my big-boy 111 today....
