  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

So I've been doing a bit of knife name/day name matching lately just for giggles--like Wilson Combat Wednesday yesterday--but don't have much to work with for Thursdays. Shirogorov F-Three Thursday? That one usually goes with Micarta Monday. My two versions of the Spyderco Sage Three? Not feelin' it. Para Three? Sold it. Okay then, Three Rivers Manufacturing Thursday with my RJ Martin designed Machine Flipper, MEFP version.

J's been working on an old mahogany chair we pulled out of our crawl space when I was reorganizing the sheetmetal shop and she asked me to repair one of the pieced-together rockers. I cut matching slots with the plate joiner, added four biscuits, and glued it back together over in the woodshop this afternoon.

...and after.

I'd usually unclamp after a few hours, but I'll leave 'em on overnight as the two eccentric pieces had moved in opposite directions and twisted after separating and took a lot of force to pull back together.
