Medford- Fat Daddy
Ha ha yeah... the Fat Daddy. One of my favorites. I love that grind. No robot machine can do a grind like that.:thumbsup:

I spent the afternoon scrubbing out the cubbies under the seats in the Rosborough's cuddy cabin as Mickey and Minnie had gotten into all the stuff in there and left a disgustingly horrible mess. Knowing what I was up against and using abrasive cleanser and bleach, I just had my second carry work beater on me.

After showering I got out my Biryukov liner lock again as I'd been PMing with @sechip about it last night. It hits the mark in a lot of areas while having a couple flaws that only slightly diminish my appreciation for it. It's also something of a unicorn as it seemed not to have a model name and, until searching the internet again last night, I'd never found another of its ilk anywhere until I saw three pics at a French cutlery site, although it's listing indicated it was "Produit Indisponible". It did name the knife as an Andrey Biryukov No. 9, though, so maybe mine isn't nameless after all.

The knife lives in one of my double-sided, lined leather pouches along with my other Biryukov, so here's Old Number Nine again with his brother Sigma.

I bought this M2HS Ritter Grip in 2007 a few months after BM released this version. I've had several sets of scales on it over the years. The mail carrier brought new ones yesterday. Thought I would carry my old work knife since it got new covers. My photo of when it was new in 07.

Today.

Mail call! After oogling @evilgreg various different swishs i decided i had to have one also. Great action, flipping very well with a dialed detent, Decently thin BTE, and ergos are very good with plenty of heavy chamferring. Olamic's kinetic finish is pretty impressive. A lot of details going on with a woodgrain look along with stonewashing and a bluish-purplish hue which is very nice indeed however the shape of the swish is mainly what drew me to the model with its distinctive aesthetic. I look forward to putting the elmax steel to use.
