EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Can't say I'm carrying these two, just wanted to show what I did. I have wanted to mod the SOCP knife for a long time and finally got to do it. The original handle was just too uncomfortable, so I wrapped it and also rounded the edges on the ring. These modifications make a real difference in handling.Wrapping the handle makes a new sheath necessary. I made one of heavy leather, I don't have the tools and skills to make a kydex sheath. Besides I like leather. This one is in my opinion my best effort so far. The sheath has good retention, but the knife flies out easily with a firm tug. The simple carry system is for IWB. It can be carried in pocket with statick cord. Adding a loop for horizontal carry is possible. The edge of this one actually cuts which is a bonus (considering that the other SOCP model is just a stabber). I think that the training version is necessary to understand the potential for this knife.

8 days in Myrtle beach with the Mrs and in laws. This time we flew instead of driving so no knives on the plane :(. I bet the Mrs I could do it but she told me she’d take another flight if I did so I did the next best thing. I mailed ‘em to myself.

2 days without a pocket knife. You’d think I was going through withdrawal. Well I was. You know how many times in 2 days I cursed because I’d reach for a knife and come up empty?

Well that’s all in the past so till Friday when I have to mail them home, these will be my EDCs.

That’s the saltwater marsh of the back deck. I hear tell there’s crocagators there.

I can never remember the difference. I grew up in the North Jersey/NEPA and the only alagatodiles we had lived in the storm drains and sewers or so we were led to believe.

I just noticed, with the exception of the Loveless City Knife all the rest were gifts from members here on BFC. Thanks guys, I had a hard time choosing which knives to comfort me while so far from home.
