Yes, you’re correct, thats a 3M paint protector film. It holds pretty sturdy so far, but for light tasks only. For other tasks, my plain blade 31 does the job better imo

Yes, it’s pretty astonishing how much trash is in the ocean, especially considering how vast it is. It is everywhere. When traversing pelagic seas it is now common practice to fish near floating trash piles.

I absolutely despise litter. It’s evidence of a heart issue, but cmon. How selfish can people be?

Last time I went Mahi fishing, we declined the Captain’s offer to reschedule due to VAS conditions (never do that!). Rough, tough 1/2 day with no keepers. Rode out a storm, pulled the lines in, full throttle for the harbor when the Capt kills the engines and the deck hand sprints down the ladder to cast...to a small, standard sized black convenience store bag. Boom! Only 2 keepers of the day.

THAT is the only time I’m ok with a little trash.
