My Fall Apple Knife, a 2016 #77 Barlow and a really nice Schrade Walden Florist/Grafting knife with French Ivory covers. The Schrade Walden was a "bargain buy" off the bay and is a very SOLID knife with thick brass liners and now a Razor sharp blade with ZERO blade play:cool::cool::cool:

Aaaaand the midday switcheroo. :) I liked the Artisan Proponent so much (15 oz. of brass goodness!) that I picked up its baby bro, the Mini Proponent in burlap micarta/D2. I love micarta, and orange, and the oddball aesthetics of the Proponent -- instantly recognizable as a Dirk Pinkerton design -- are likewise right up my alley. I'd still perhaps put this in the "aesthetics first" category, as 5.5 oz. for a 3" blade isn't the most practical setup, but my rotation has plenty of room for peculiar knives.

I was initially wary of uncoated D2 in the humid Pacific northwest, but my toe-dipping into that blade steel has gone pretty well so far -- which is both good and bad. Good because it opens up a wide range of budget knives from CIVIVI, Artisan, etc. with designs that I like...and bad for, well, the same reason. :D

I've been toting my ZT0801BW around on our first day back from Vermont, unpacking, getting things squared away down here, and taking the cat to his vet appointment. I stopped to get the mail on the way home and picked up the Sage5LW I bought off the Exchange before heading up north, so now I'm toting around two.

I've been waiting a while to find one like new on the Exchange at a fair price, though I've missed a couple along the way, to complete my collection since the release of the LW. Now I've got all seven to keep up with our friend @abbazaba . I'm still behind him in the KW exclusive Pakkawood Spydie department and I'm not sure I'll pick up the two smaller ones, my HAP Delica, Endura, and Police falling more in the user department while the Sages are really more of a collection.
