I switched out to the newly acquired Guardian 3 this afternoon, and I’ll have to say I am really digging it. Although I have about a 90 day rotation of knives, I’m pretty sure this little gem will be seeing some pocket time again tomorrow.

Well I said I wasn’t going to sharpen my Mini SheepDog for a while to see how the S35vn wears and today was opening a box and hit a hidden staple that was under some packaging tape 
Fortunately I wasn’t biting down hard but enough to cause a few tiny micro chips that you could barely see but I could feel. Got home and put it under my loop and sure enough it was chipped but it stayed sharp around the chips so that says a lot about this S35vn. The chips were bugging me enough so instead of using it some more and getting some more wear on the edge. I decided to see if I could get them out with my sharpmaker and no luck. So instead of pulling out my edge pro I decided to try some black/grey compound on my leather strop block. Worked like a charm and almost got them all out and can’t see them with the naked eye just barely with my Loop. So will put it threw some more paces tomorrow. So far I’m very impressed and just from a light touch up it’s razor sharp push cuts receipt paper effortlessly. I’ll get some wear on the edge before I pull out the heavy artillery
