I started out this morning back in the basement determined to finish getting the old furnace out without having to disassemble or modify the ductwork for the new installation. I had to change course a couple times but finally got a plan together for the installation, modified the flanges on the top of the new unit, supported the ductwork, cut the flanges off the old unit, and slipped that baby out. In anticipation of picking up my new 31 later, I carried my large 25 Starbenza today while busied myself with those tasks. I cleaned up around 3:30 and headed to my PO for my new knife and the lumberyard for material for the core of the new base.
It's been rainy today with no good light, so here's a couple meh pics of today's carry and the newbie shot on my basement work bench. You can see all the tape gunk on the WC25 from opening the box with the 31 Natural Micarta in it.

The looks incredibly sweet, man, especially with the ano' work you did on the thumb stud, AXIS button, and pivot collar. I see now why you weren't concerned about the busted wood scale. What's that baby weigh in at now with all that brass added?

It is a beast now. But honestly it feels better to me now. I also realized that it can be used as a blunt item to hit someone with if i ever needed to. When you flick it open you just hear a satifyng metal clink

Anyway, it was the Viper Orso keeping me company this afternoon.....although I suspect it’ll be images of Rocksteads rockin’ me to sleep tonight.

The Orso reminds me a little of the Shiro Quantum.
