EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Mercedes says it’s all good she’s taking credit regardless :p and she hearts my AD”15”:D
Happy to let your little girl have all the attention she can get, friend. She reminds me of our Amber, who's moved on from this world, a compact kitty who had a short, thick black coat and was named for her eye color. Currently, we have Willey and are 3 cats removed from our former years of multi-dog ownership. He's a Siberian Forest Cat and just a big ol' 18 lb bucket of fuzz.

Back on topic, this turned out to be a Thin Thursday, and not by design, as I had a tiny, infected splinter in my finger that needed flicking out and reached for my 94(3)-1 Franken for something sharp and pointy to TCB. I don't carry this one much, but it's a lotta knife in a little package that's super-light in hand and disappears in pocket, which is where it ended up after its light surgical duty.

ErocSD ErocSD , no slight to TheFactor TheFactor 's guillotine on an AD10, lionSTEEL, or the adorable Mercedes, but did you mistakenly quote the wrong post, meaning to refer to @Steel_Addiction 's "OCD approved...." lock-up pics? @Barman1 , your link to the generally accepted usage of lock-up percentage and description of that as 45% is indeed correct, but I sometimes think of it the other way, as in the lockbar being fully (100%) engaged on the blade tang (lock ramp). While so many obsess about early lock-up for fear of it wearing in all the way, I prefer seeing more of the lockbar engaged for security. I've had a couple that would slip if opened too lightly and tweaked 'em so they'd lock up later for greater safety.

There's just something about the alignment on Steel_Addiction's pics that's incredibly sublime. What knife is that anyway?

Oops, ya that lock up was amazing...I guess I missed the post.

Beautiful kitty :) and knife my friend.

Oh man, Bevan!! Green canvas!!! What is that!! I'm a droolin!!!

Right?! The best micarta...and the knife is sweet too;)

Lol, thanks fellas. It’s a Monterey Bay Knives (MBK) Old Guard. It’s a solid knife with good ergos. Not sure if it’s available still, but I’m sure they’ll make another batch soon enough.
