I am giving the Olight a second chance after it burned a hole in my pocket a few weeks ago.

I've been engaged in a bit of back-and-forth with @halden.doerge over at the Cheburkov Channel about the Small Strizh, so I dropped mine into my sweatshirt pocket heading over to work out on Carbon Fiber Friday. It's so light (2.5 0z) I didn't notice it in the pocket after changing and putting my gym clothes aside and spent a little while searching for it.

I did a mid-day Framelock Flipper Friday Flip, sticking with Cheburkov but going to the other end of the size spectrum with the Voron.

It’s got a lockout. I utilize mine.

My brother left it in his backpack and it turned on. Burned a hole through both sides of his sweater sleeve and through the pack. It was in his truck. Coulda been a lot worse.

Olight just sent me an email regarding this situation. I apparently own five lights that qualify for their ‘recall’ issue. I’m trying to decide if I want to keep them and get those little free Obulb thingies or return them for a refund. One thing that points me toward returning them is I have doubts I could sell them even for what I paid if want to go that route. I recently put a couple what I thought were popular, desirable lights up for sale for less than what I paid and got no takers.
But then again I don’t generally carry any of these so burning a hole in my pocket is not so much an issue. Still deciding...

I gave up on them as I have metal dust and shavings getting on my light everyday.

They turned on several times on turbo, and lockout is an inconvenience when I use my flashlight every 10 minutes... so off to a different light better suited for my uses.

They are excellent lights otherwise. I just think the tail switch can be improved upon.

Sanded the micarta with oil and hit the screws with mag polish to class it up a bit
